  • What is coaching?
Coaching is a process that aims to improve performance and focuses on the present rather than the past. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential.
  • What benefits should I expect from coaching sessions?
Most people report improved communication skills, self-esteem, self-confidence, and increased productivity. Individual feedback depends on the goals set at the beginning of the program and the work done by the coach during the sessions.
  • What is the difference between coaching, mentoring, and therapy?
Mentoring: The trainer drives the session, providing advice and direction. Consulting: The consultant drives the session, giving expert advice. Therapy: Focused more on the past, although patient-centered, the therapist leads the session. Coaching: Oriented to the present and future, with the coachee in the driver's seat.
  • What is ADHD?
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is an organic and chronic neurodevelopment disorder affecting 11 percent of school-age children. Symptoms continue into adulthood in more than three-quarters of cases. ADHD is characterised by developmentally inappropriate levels of inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. ADHD is real and has been associated with birth or pregnancy injuries and toxins (lead). It is primarily genetic, with strong evidence that it is a 'family' condition. As high as 50% of children of a parent with ADHD will have ADHD too. ADHD has no cure, but you can manage it and make it work for you.
  • What are executive functions?
Executive functions are brain functions that activate, organize, integrate, and manage other functions. They enable individuals to account for short and long-term consequences of their actions and plan for those results. Executive functions allow individuals to make real-time evaluations of their actions and make necessary adjustments if those actions are not achieving the desired result.
  • What other conditions can occur with ADHD?
More than two-thirds of individuals with ADHD have at least one other coexisting condition. The most common conditions found in individuals with ADHD are disruptive behaviour disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, tics or Tourette Syndrome, learning disorders, sleep disorders, and substance abuse.
  • What outcomes have been described as difficulties happening due to ADHD?
ADHD tax, relationship problems, lack of awareness, and driving difficulties.
  • What are the known effective treatments for ADHD?
    Medication, therapy, psychotherapy, and coaching.
  • Why should I choose you as my coach?
If you feel I am the right coach for you, I will be honored. I have worked twenty years in a caring profession, and I have empathy and life experience dealing with the difficulties we face every day. I am a wife, mom, and professional who has experienced how symptoms get worse when hormones start to change.
  • Why do you think ADHD coaching helps?
I believe in evidence-based treatments. Research has demonstrated that coaching improves your awareness about your ADHD. ADHD does not and should not define you. You are whole, creative, and have the answers. Coaching is about finding a specially trained professional who will help you understand yourself and your ADHD, guide you through blind spots, and hold you accountable for what you want to do. Coaches are there to learn about you, listen to you, and provide you with the allocated time to invest in yourself and your happiness.
  • What is the treatment for ADHD?
Treating ADHD often requires a comprehensive, multimodal approach that includes medical, educational, behavioural, and psychological intervention. This may include parent training, medication, skills training, counselling, behavioural therapy, educational supports, and education regarding ADHD.
  • How much does coaching cost?
The cost of coaching depends on the experience and certifications of the coach. Book a discovery call to discuss packages and prices.
  • How do I make my payment to you?
Purchasing my services is similar to paying for a membership or retainer fee. I ask that I receive your payment in advance of our meetings. There are multiple payment options available on my website.
  • How do I prepare for our sessions?
You must prepare with an "agenda" in mind before each session to ensure that you gain the most from them. If not, we can also work on a brain-dumping session to see what's going on in your mind right now and what you want to work on. Arrive on time, take a breath, and then we can start working.
  • What happens during our calls/sessions?
Coaching is a process of making changes where I will support you in staying focused on your goals. There doesn't need to be intense effort to create noticeable results. Set the tone that best supports you. Come with something you would like coaching on to each session, and I will follow your lead as we explore your obstacles and create new strategies.
  • What happens if I am late or have to cancel?
Please let me know. If you are more than 10 minutes late or miss an appointment without notice, you will be charged for that session. Rescheduling a late or missed session will be at my discretion.
  • What happens if I don't get the payment to you on time?
If I have not received your payment, the coaching session will be canceled.
  • What happens on holidays, vacations, or if I miss a session?
Without 24-hour notice, you will be charged or rescheduled at my discretion. I will not reschedule no-call/no-shows. Together, we can design a plan for coaching sessions that may fall on holidays/vacations. If you have an emergency, please call as soon as you realise there is a problem. I completely understand that these situations occur.
  • What if I want to email you between calls?
I encourage you to check in with me between appointments. It is my privilege to provide this extra level of service. You can also contact me by WhatsApp. These services are not for emergencies or coaching issues; they are for accountability or specific questions you may have.
  • How long does coaching take?
The duration of coaching depends upon individual needs. We will discuss it in our discovery session. Most of my clients work with me for 3-6 months. Most people experience the best results with longer programs; however, you will still benefit greatly from new strategies and solutions even if you decide on a shorter coaching package.
